Tom & Thomas

Tom & Thomas (released in the UK as The Christmas Twins) is a 2002 English-language Dutch-British family film directed by Esmé Lammers, who also wrote the screenplay. It premiered in the Netherlands on 24 January 2002. The film stars Sean Bean alongside Aaron Johnson, who made his screen debut in the picture.

The story follows Thomas and his lookalike Tom, boys separated years earlier who find each other by chance. Bean plays the caring adoptive father of one of the twins, while Johnson portrays both children. When the pair attract the attention of a corrupt orphanage director, they are drawn into a dangerous adventure and end up playing a key part in bringing down a child-trafficking ring. Filming took place in London, Amsterdam and Haarlem, with winter scenes created using artificial snow.
