Sıcağı Sıcağına is regarded as the first reality show ever produced for Turkish television. It premiered in 1993 on Show TV, initially presented by Haluk Bilginer. Cem Kurtoğlu took over as host in 1994 and remained in that role until the program ended its original run in 1998.

During its broadcast years it attracted a large audience and received several awards. A revival was attempted on Star TV in 2009 with Kurtoğlu again as presenter, but the show was pulled from the schedule after a single episode. Spanning 7 seasons and 254 episodes in total, much of its archive was uploaded to YouTube by Kurtoğlu from 2012 onward, making the old episodes accessible to viewers once more.
