Sevan Fishermen

Sevan Fishermen is a 1939 Soviet Armenian film. Produced at the Armenfilm studio in Yerevan from a screenplay by Ashot Shaybon, it is an action-tinged drama that follows fishermen-turned-partisans around Lake Sevan as they resist Dashnak detachments active in the area. The 74-minute film features dialogue in Armenian, Azerbaijani, and Russian, reflecting the multi-ethnic cast typical of Soviet productions of the era. Hıraçya Nersesyan appears in the cast. The film premiered on November 25, 1939.
