Rio Sex Comedy

Rio Sex Comedy is a 2010 French-Brazilian comedy written and directed by Jonathan Nossiter, co-produced by Tambellini and Primo Filmes. It premiered on 16 September 2010 at the Toronto International Film Festival. Set in Rio de Janeiro and spoken in English, Portuguese and French, the sex comedy runs 124 minutes.

In the director's own words, the film is a love letter to Rio and a comic portrait of the fascination the city exerts over foreigners. Charlotte Rampling, Bill Pullman and Irène Jacob lead the cast alongside Fisher Stevens, Jean-Marc Roulot and rising Brazilian talents Mary Sheila and Daniela Dams, while famed surgeon Ivo Pitanguy appears as himself. France's Nouvel Observateur praised its knack for making audiences laugh and think at once, and writer Paul Auster described it as the Marx Brothers of the 21st century.
