The Prince (Prens)

Prens (The Prince) is a Turkish comedy series that premiered on June 16, 2023. Produced by MGX Film, its first two seasons streamed on BluTV, while the third season moved to HBO Max under the "Max Originals" banner; it comprises three seasons and 23 episodes in total. The show won the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Comedy Series.

The story unfolds in Bongomia, a country nobody cares about: after the sudden and suspicious death of King Thun, the throne passes to the Prince — a man no one takes seriously and whose family never even bothered to name — setting off a tangled chain of events. The character was born on Giray Altınok's social media account and, as it drew growing attention, evolved into a series. Altınok co-wrote the screenplay with Kerem Özdoğan, while Bülent İşbilen and Gökdeniz Uslu directed. Alongside Altınok in the lead, the cast features Serdar Orçin, Ceyda Düvenci, Aslı Tandoğan, Çağdaş Onur Öztürk and Derya Pınar Ak. The premiere gala was held at UNIQ Istanbul.
