Muezzin

Muezzin (Müezzin) is a 2009 Austrian-Turkish co-production documentary directed by Sebastian Brameshuber. Shot in Turkish, the film follows the annual competition held in Türkiye to determine the country's best muezzin.

The documentary had its first screenings at the 44th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and the 15th Sarajevo International Film Festival in 2009. It went on to be selected for the 29th International Istanbul Film Festival, the 12th Buenos Aires International Film Festival, and the 16th London Turkish Film Festival, reaching audiences across several countries.
