Miras

Miras is a 2008 Turkish film directed by Aydın Sayman. At its centre stands the historical episode in which Palestinian lands are sought in return for settling the Ottoman Empire's heavy debts, and Sultan Abdülhamit firmly refuses the offer; the conviction that land won with blood can only be given up with blood embodies the legacy from which the film takes its name. Bringing this stance to the screen, the production features Haldun Boysan and Kaan Girgin in its cast.
