Les portes claquent

Movie · 1960 · 2 people

Les portes claquent is a 1960 French comedy co-directed by Michel Fermaud and Jacques Poitrenaud. The cast brings together Catherine Deneuve and Michael Lonsdale alongside popular performers of the era such as Dany Saval, Françoise Dorléac, Jacqueline Maillan and Noël Roquevert. Running about ninety minutes, the picture belongs to the light French comedy tradition of the turn of the 1960s. It is also notable as one of Catherine Deneuve's early screen appearances, made at the very start of a career that would soon make her an international star, and as a film in which she shared the bill with her sister, Françoise Dorléac, whose own promising career would be cut short only a few years later.
