Le Huitième Art et la Manière

Movie · 1952 · 2 people

Le Huitième Art et la Manière is a 1952 French comedy short film directed by Maurice Régamey and written by Armand Jammot. Running about 35 minutes, it belongs to the early phase of Régamey's directing career and stars Christian Alers alongside a young Louis de Funès, years before he became one of France's most popular comic actors. The supporting cast includes character performers of the era such as Harry-Max, Georgette Anys, André Claveau, Christian Argentin, Jacques Hilling and Luc Andrieux. The film stands as a modest example of the French short-film tradition of the early 1950s and is chiefly remembered today as a footnote in the extensive filmography of Louis de Funès, who appeared in more than a hundred productions over the course of his career.
