L'Amant de cinq jours

Five Day Lover (L'Amant de cinq jours) is a 1961 French-Italian romantic comedy directed and co-written by Philippe de Broca. The film is based on Françoise Parturier's 1959 novel of the same name, with Daniel Boulanger sharing screenwriting duties. Jean Seberg and Micheline Presle star in the leading roles, supported by a cast that includes Jean-Pierre Cassel, François Périer, Pierre Repp and Laure Paillette.

Running about 85 minutes in French, the film was entered into the 11th Berlin International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Golden Bear. Blending elements of sex comedy and melodrama, it stands as one of de Broca's early features within the tradition of French light comedy.
