It's Happening Tomorrow

It's Happening Tomorrow (Italian: Domani accadrà) is a 1988 Italian comedy directed by Daniele Luchetti, marking his feature film debut as a director. Shot largely in Tuscany against the natural backdrop of the Maremma regional park, the film features an ensemble cast including Paolo Hendel, Giovanni Guidelli, Margherita Buy, Claudio Bigagli, Angela Finocchiaro and the veteran comic actor Ciccio Ingrassia. Luchetti co-wrote the screenplay with Franco Bernini and Angelo Pasquini, and the picture was produced by Sacher Film together with RAI.

The roughly 95-minute film was presented in the Un Certain Regard section of the 1988 Cannes Film Festival. For this debut effort, Luchetti received the David di Donatello award for best new director as well as the Golden Globe (Globo d'oro) for best first feature, establishing him as one of the promising young voices of Italian cinema in the late 1980s.
