Istanbul United

Istanbul United is a 2014 documentary film made as a co-production between Germany, the Czech Republic, and Turkey. It falls within the sports documentary genre.

The film focuses on the supporters of Istanbul's three major football clubs — Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Beşiktaş — and on how these fan groups came together during the 2013 Taksim Gezi Park protests. It examines, in documentary form, the connection between football fandom and the social unrest of that period.

Farid Eslam and Oliver Waldhauer shared directing duties, and both are also credited as the film's screenwriters. The film runs approximately 84 minutes.
