Ils sont grands ces petits is a French comedy film directed by Joël Santoni, shot in 1978 and released on 14 March 1979. It centres on Léo and Louise, friends since childhood whose fathers, both celebrated scientists, have vanished under mysterious circumstances. The pair resolve to carry on where their fathers left off. Much of the film's comic reputation rests on its inventive sequences in which remote-controlled model vehicles are used to pull off bank heists. Catherine Deneuve plays Louise Müchen, with Michel Berto also among the cast. The screenplay is credited to Daniel Boulanger, Jean-Claude Carrière and Joël Santoni.
