Heroes of Fort Worth
Heroes of Fort Worth (original title: Gli eroi di Fort Worth) is a 1965 Spaghetti Western produced as a co-production between Italy and Spain. Directed by Alberto De Martino, who also co-wrote the screenplay together with Eduardo Manzanos, the film stars Edmund Purdom and Ida Galli. It belongs to the wave of European westerns made in Italy and Spain during the mid-1960s, when the genre became a mainstay of Italian popular cinema. The picture was released under different titles in various markets: Vergeltung am Wichita-Paß in Germany, À l'assaut du fort Texan in France and 7° de caballería in Spain. Running about one hundred minutes, it remains a representative example of the early Spaghetti Western era.
