Heartless

Heartless (original title: Cuore cattivo) is a 1995 Italian crime-drama film directed by Umberto Marino. Marino adapted it from his own stage play Dove nasce la notizia, which he had written and directed in the theatre with largely the same performers, including Kim Rossi Stuart, Cecilia Genovesi, Massimo Wertmüller and Ludovica Modugno. The story draws on an almost ordinary, marginal crime episode typical of the Italian suburbs, particularly around Rome, and builds a tense heist narrative around it. Produced by RAI, the film features Kim Rossi Stuart and Valerio Mastandrea alongside actors such as Massimo Ghini and Stefania Rocca. It runs about 92 minutes and was released in France under the title L'Otage.
