Flo

Flo is a 2023 French biographical drama directed by Géraldine Danon, marking her feature film debut. It portrays the life of Florence Arthaud (1957–2015), the celebrated French sailor who made history by winning the Route du Rhum transatlantic race in 1990. The film follows her passionate relationship with the sea, her sporting triumphs, and the personal struggles that shaped her extraordinary journey.

The story is adapted from Yann Queffélec's 2020 book La Mer et au-delà, and Danon co-wrote the screenplay with Queffélec. Stéphane Caillard stars as Arthaud, with a supporting ensemble that includes Pierre Deladonchamps, Alexis Michalik, Charles Berling, Samuel Jouy and Grégoire Colin.

The film was screened out of competition at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival as part of the official selection's Cinéma de la Plage section.
