Stuck Apart (Azizler)

Azizler, internationally released as Stuck Apart, is a 2021 Turkish dark comedy-drama directed by Durul Taylan and Yağmur Taylan, known as the Taylan Brothers. The screenplay was written by the two directors together with Berkun Oya. The film stars Engin Günaydın, Haluk Bilginer and Binnur Kaya, with an ensemble cast that also includes Öner Erkan, İrem Sak, Fatih Artman, İlker Aksum, Bergüzar Korel and Halit Ergenç.

The story follows Aziz, a man stuck in a job he dislikes and drifting away from the dreams of his youth, who believes his four-year relationship with Burcu should end. Longing to be alone, he seizes an unexpected opportunity by telling a lie — and its consequences transform his life in ways he never wanted. Originally planned for a theatrical release on 2 October 2020, the film was sold to Netflix after the COVID-19 pandemic and premiered there on 8 January 2021.
