Ahmet Abi's Steamboat (Ahmet Abi'nin Vapuru) (translated)
Ahmet Abi'nin Vapuru was a Turkish talk show hosted by Ahmet Kaya and broadcast on Kanal D between January 21 and April 13, 1995. Blending music, entertainment and conversation, it remains the only television program that Ahmet Kaya prepared and presented.
The program was written and prepared by Ahmet Kaya together with Yusuf Hayaloğlu, directed by Namık Kasapoğlu, with Gülten Kaya acting as consultant. Filming took place at the Ezgi Culture and Art Center in Bahçelievler, Istanbul. Over its thirteen consecutive episodes, the show welcomed artists such as Zülfü Livaneli, Arif Sağ, Erdal Erzincan, Belkıs Akkale, Hülya Avşar and Yıldız Tilbe. Some episodes aired with special themed nights, and the program also featured a segment called the "Poetry Corner."
