Ah! The Beautiful Priestess of Bacchus (Ah! The Beautiful Priestesses of Bacchus) (translated)

Movie · 1954 · 2 people

Ah! Les belles bacchantes is a 1954 French-Italian comedy directed by Jean Loubignac. Robert Dhéry wrote the screenplay, adapting it from the stage play he had created the previous year under the same title, and also took the male lead. The ensemble features Louis de Funès alongside Jacqueline Maillan, Jacques Jouanneau, Francis Blanche and many members of the Branquignols theatre troupe.

Unusually for its time, the film was shot and shown in color using the Agfacolor process, making it the first color comedy of Louis de Funès's career. Produced by Lux Film and running about 90 minutes, it was also released internationally under alternative titles such as Femmes de Paris and Peek-a-boo.
