Tayfun Pektürk — Biography
Tayfun Pektürk was born on 13 May 1988 in Wermelskirchen, Germany. Of German-Turkish background, he grew up partly in Istanbul and partly in Cologne, developing into a midfielder-forward and, off the pitch, a devoted supporter of Beşiktaş.
His professional career took him to İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor and to İzmir side Karşıyaka, whom he joined in the summer of 2015 and left again in the summer of 2018 after several seasons of first-team football. He later returned to Germany, continuing his career with Mittelrheinliga club Borussia Freialdenhoven.
