Tansel Başer — Biography

Tansel Başer (born 17 April 1978 in Melbourne) is a former Australian footballer of Turkish descent who played as a defender. He began his career in Australia, lining up for South Melbourne FC in the Victorian Premier League.

Capped by Australia at under-20 and under-23 level, Başer later moved to Turkey, where he played for clubs including Trabzonspor, Erzurumspor, Akçaabat Sebatspor, MKE Kırıkkalespor and Vanspor. His active career spanned the years 1994 to 2011, and he finished it back in Australia with Hume City FC.
