Tanju Öztürk — Biography
Tanju Öztürk is a footballer born in Cologne who holds both German and Turkish citizenship and has spent his career in Germany. He played as a centre-back or defensive midfielder and is best known for his time at MSV Duisburg and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen.
He made his first professional league appearance for MSV Duisburg on 18 March 2012, in a 2-1 home win against VfL Bochum. On 15 January 2015 he joined Schalke 04 II, the reserve side of FC Schalke 04. In later years he was part of the Rot-Weiß Oberhausen squad.
Able to play at centre-back or in midfield, he featured in the lower German leagues. He pursued his football career in Germany and played in different divisions of the country.
