Sunay Bulut — Biography
Sunay Bulut is a Turkish weightlifter who was born on 1 December 1967 in Plovdiv (Filibe), in present-day Bulgaria, and went on to compete internationally for Turkey.
Competing across the light-heavyweight, middle-heavyweight and heavyweight categories, he collected three medals at the European Weightlifting Championships between 1991 and 1997, twice finishing as champion, and added a bronze medal at the 1994 World Weightlifting Championship.
His record places him among the Balkan-born athletes who represented Turkey on the world weightlifting stage during the 1990s.
