Şiva Behrouzfar — Biography

Şiva Behrouzfar is a Turkish actress and singer born on May 20, 1991, in Ankara. She was born to a mother from Nevşehir and a father of Iranian origin, and her interest in the arts began in childhood.

Behrouzfar first encountered theater at the age of six and completed her acting training in the Theater Department of Haliç University. In addition to her university education, she took lessons from Ayla Algan and Emre Kınay, and also took part in acting work at the Osman Yağmurdereli Art Academy and the Ritüel Art Center, broadening her command of stage and camera technique.

The actress made her screen debut in the 2015 series Küçük ağa, gaining her first professional experience in this project alongside names such as Birce Akalay, Sarp Levendoğlu, Doğan Can Sarıkaya, and Emir Berke Zincidi. The role that brought her recognition among a wide audience was the character Balım, whom she played in the 2017 Show TV series Yeni Gelin, whose cast also included actors such as Jessica May, Dağhan Külegeç, Feride Hilal Akın, Lale Başar, and Burçin Bildik.

Alongside acting, Behrouzfar is also involved in music, releasing the maxi single Cadı in 2016 and her second single, Kabahat, in 2017. Her most notable work in cinema is the role of Meral Çatlı in the film Çatlı, based on the life story of Abdullah Çatlı; the actress carried the responsibility of portraying a real, living person, bringing this character to life in the lead role.

In her private life, Şiva Behrouzfar married actor Toygan Avanoğlu in 2019, and the couple have a daughter from this marriage named Derin.
