Sinan Özkan was born on March 22, 1986, in Saint-Étienne, France, and holds dual French-Turkish nationality. A forward capable of playing on the right wing, he earned caps for Turkey's under-21 national team during his youth career.
Over the course of his professional career he turned out for numerous Turkish clubs, including Adana Demirspor, Alanyaspor, Samsunspor, Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor, Giresunspor, Konyaspor, Manisaspor, Elazığspor and Türk Telekom, as well as a spell with his hometown club Saint-Étienne.
