Sezer Özmen — Biography
Sezer Özmen is a Turkish footballer, born on 7 July 1992 in Istanbul's Bakırköy district, who plays as a left-footed centre-back or sweeper. Over his career he has represented lower-division clubs including Turgutluspor, Fethiyespor and Rizespor, and also had a spell abroad with Belgium's Mouscron-Perwelz.
In a 2023 interview he looked back on his time at Beşiktaş and described an incident of racism he experienced while playing abroad. He also revealed an interest in moving into refereeing once his playing career winds down, saying he hopes to become a homegrown version of famed referee Pierluigi Collina.
