Sevilay İmamoğlu Öcal — Biography
Sevilay İmamoğlu Öcal is a retired Turkish handball goalkeeper born on 7 October 1984 in Lüleburgaz, Kırklareli Province. She studied physical education and sports at Gazi University and made close to 300 appearances for Turkey across youth and senior national teams during her career.
She won silver medals with the national team at the 2009 Mediterranean Games and the 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games, and later became a European club champion with Konyaaltı Belediyespor at the 2023 EHF European Cup before moving on to Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor. In May 2026 she played an emotional farewell match, bringing her handball career to a close.
