Serkan Tınmaz — Biography

Serkan Tınmaz was born on 16 December 1986 in Istanbul. After graduating in Acting from Çanakkale On Sekiz Mart University, he completed a master's degree in Film and Drama acting at Kadir Has University. In theatre he performed with Semaver Kumpanya in plays such as Veriler and Titus Andronicus, and with Açık Sahne in productions including Aşık and Suretsizler.

He made his screen debut in 2012 with the series Hayat Devam Ediyor, went on to appear in Görüş Günü Kadınları, Gönül İşleri and Adı Mutluluk, and played the character Savaş in the 2017 series Esaretim Sensin. He gained his widest recognition playing Umut for years in the series Kızılcık Şerbeti; in 2023 it emerged that he and his on-screen co-star Ceren Karakoç had actually been married in real life for ten years. He announced his departure from the series in mid-2024 and spent a period pursuing music.

In 2025 he returned to screens as Ferit in the series Çift Kişilik Oda, a role he continues to play.
