Serkan Erdoğan — Biography
Serkan Erdoğan is a retired Turkish national basketball player, born on August 30, 1978, in Amasya, standing 1.90 meters tall. Playing as a shooting guard and point guard, he began his professional career with Tofaş and moved to Ülkerspor after Tofaş's championship-winning 1999–2000 season.
A knee injury suffered in training in April 2001 marked a turning point in his career; around the same period, he tested positive for the banned substance nandrolone and was suspended from FIBA SuproLeague competition. He nonetheless returned to the court and continued playing afterward.
After retiring as a player, Erdoğan moved into coaching, leading the technical staffs of Beşiktaş and Bursaspor and also serving with Turkey's U18 national team. In late 2025, he was appointed head coach of Kipaş İstiklal Basket.
