Serkan Aykut — Biography

Serkan Aykut, born on 24 February 1975 in Ankara, is a former Turkish international footballer who played as a forward. He began his professional career at Samsunspor, where he finished as the league's top scorer with 30 goals in the 1999-2000 season, a performance that earned him a $5.9 million transfer to Galatasaray.

Aykut spent two successful seasons at Galatasaray, winning the UEFA Super Cup in 2000. He returned to Samsunspor in July 2002 on a four-year deal with a one-year option, later serving as the club's captain, and was subsequently voted onto Samsunspor's all-time best starting eleven by fans.
