Seren Serengil — Biography

Seren Serengil was born on April 6, 1971, in Istanbul. The daughter of veteran Yeşilçam actor and showman Öztürk Serengil, she studied business in Switzerland. At just 16 she became one of Turkey's youngest headline performers, sharing the same nightclub stage as İbrahim Tatlıses.

Serengil scored a major breakthrough in her music career with her 1991 album Ayrılık and its hit song "Bana Herşey Seni Hatırlatıyor," and went on to release further albums over the years. She began her acting career alongside Mehmet Aslantuğ in the series Başka Olur Ağaların Düğünü, and went on to appear in numerous productions including Alev Gibi Bir Kız, Yasak Sokaklar, Şükran Büfe, Belalım Benim, Şaşkın Assolist and Ben Adamı Ayrılırken Tanırım. Alongside acting and music, she also built a career as a television host, presenting programs centered on marriage and reconciling separated couples.

Known for her outspoken personality, Serengil made headlines in the summer of 2026 when she rescued dogs trapped by wildfires in the Muğla/Fethiye region. That same June, she drew public attention with her remarks following the death of journalist Reha Muhtar.
