Şeref Alemdar — Biography
Burhanettin Şeref Alemdar was a Turkish basketball player born on 10 July 1917. At club level he played for Galatasaray, one of Istanbul's most established sports clubs.
He was part of the Turkish national basketball team that competed at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, the first Games in which basketball featured as an official medal event; 21 nations took part in that tournament, with the United States winning the gold medal. The date of Alemdar's death is not known.
