Serdar Topraktepe — Biography

Serdar Topraktepe (born 25 August 1976 in Istanbul) is a Turkish football coach and former international player, and the older brother of footballer Ömer Topraktepe. He began playing in the Fatih Karagümrük youth setup before joining Beşiktaş in 1994, making his official debut the following year; he operated as a striker or left-sided winger.

Over a long playing career he turned out for Beşiktaş, Kocaelispor, Bursaspor, Sivasspor and Körfez FK. At Kocaelispor he became known for wearing the number 41 shirt, matching the city's licence-plate code, and for staying with the club through difficult periods. His honours include two league titles and a Turkish Cup with Beşiktaş, a Turkish Cup and First League title with Kocaelispor, and a First League title with Bursaspor; he also took silver with Turkey's under-21 side at the 1997 Mediterranean Games. Capped only twice at senior level, he retired in 2013.

Moving into coaching, he served as Beşiktaş's interim manager in December 2023 and again in April 2024, and was part of the staff that won the 2024 Turkish Cup. In August 2025 he became the club's academy youth development technical director. In January 2026 he was referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee in a betting investigation and received a three-month ban.
