Serdar Gürler — Biography
Serdar Gürler came into the world in Haguenau, France, on 14 September 1991 to Turkish parents, and holds dual French-Turkish citizenship. He joined Sochaux's academy at thirteen in 2004, spending six years there before turning professional in 2010, the same year he made his only appearance for the club's first team, against Saint-Étienne.
He moved to Elazığspor in 2012 and spent two seasons there before transferring to Trabzonspor alongside teammate Deniz Yılmaz in 2014, later going on loan to Kayseri Erciyesspor that same season. He joined Gençlerbirliği in 2016 and Osmanlıspor in 2017, then moved to La Liga side Huesca in 2018, followed by a loan spell at Göztepe. He signed a lengthy new contract with İstanbul Başakşehir in January 2022.
Having also represented France at under-16 level, Gürler switched allegiance to Turkey, debuting for its under-18 side in 2008 before progressing through the under-21 and B teams and finally earning his senior cap in a 2017 friendly against Moldova. He and Eyüpspor went their separate ways at the start of 2026, after which he moved to Çorum FK on a contract running two and a half years, and remains with the club today.
