Serdar Eylik — Biography
Serdar Eylik is a winger and midfielder who came through Galatasaray's academy into the first team and then continued his career through loans and clubs in Turkey's lower divisions. He has played for Turkey from the U-17 to the U-21 level, and he currently plays for Kuşadasıspor.
His parents, originally from Kars, moved to Istanbul when he was a year old, and he was inspired to play by his uncle, a semi-professional footballer. After coach Frank Rijkaard brought him into the first team ahead of 2009-10, he made his debut for Galatasaray on 23 July 2009 against Tobol in the UEFA Europa League; his league debut came against Sivasspor on 1 November 2009. He was then repeatedly loaned out by Galatasaray, playing for Orduspor, Denizlispor, Karşıyaka and Giresunspor, where he scored five goals in 16 matches. In 2012-13 at Kayseri Erciyesspor he made 29 league appearances, scored six goals and set up one, and won the First League title with the club. After a 2013-14 loan at Ankaraspor his Galatasaray contract ran out, and in July 2014 he signed for Samsunspor.
He later stood out with his goals for Şanlıurfaspor in 2015 and returned to Karşıyaka in 2017. In 2018-19 he had a successful season in the 3. Lig with Bayburt Özel İdarespor, then played for Ankara Demirspor before moving to Kuşadasıspor in July 2023. For Turkey's U-17 to U-21 sides he scored one goal in total.
