Serdar Dayat — Biography

Serdar Dayat is an Istanbul-born coach who has spent a large part of his career abroad. He speaks German, English, Turkish and French and holds a UEFA Pro Licence, which makes him one of the few Turkish coaches to have worked as a head coach outside Turkey.

He studied at the German Sport University Cologne. His time as an assistant coach was spent beside Thomas Doll, Ersun Yanal, Vladimir Petkovic and Werner Lorant. As head coach he worked at clubs in Turkey, Germany, Bulgaria and Sweden. He took over Denizlispor in July 2013 and moved to a Swedish club in June 2017. In 2019 he became general coordinator of football youth development at Fenerbahçe, where he stressed that children's behaviour off the pitch matters as much as on it. He left the club in June 2020.

His most recent post was in Germany at third-division side Türkgücü München. He was appointed head coach in February 2021 and parted ways with the club in early May.
