Serdar Dayat — Biography

Serdar Dayat, born 30 May 1969 in Istanbul, is a Turkish football coach whose career has repeatedly taken him abroad. A graduate of the German Sport University Cologne, he speaks German, English, Turkish and French, which allowed him to serve as an assistant to coaches such as Thomas Doll, Ersun Yanal, Vladimir Petkovic and Werner Lorant before going on to lead clubs in Turkey, Germany, Bulgaria and Sweden as a head coach. Holder of a UEFA Pro License, he is counted among the small group of Turkish coaches — alongside figures such as Mustafa Denizli, Şenol Güneş and Fatih Terim — who have managed teams outside Turkey.

His path included taking charge of Denizlispor in 2013 and moving to a Swedish club in 2017. In 2019 he served as general coordinator of Fenerbahçe's youth academy, a role he left in 2020. He was appointed head coach of third-tier German side Türkgücü München in February 2021 and parted ways with the club three months later, in May of the same year.
