Şems Kemal Tunçeri — Biography
Born on 30 August 1974 in Istanbul, Şems Kemal Tunçeri is the son of national basketball player Haluk Tunçeri and the older brother of fellow basketball player Kerem Tunçeri. He played as a point guard and ended his professional playing career in 2011.
After retiring, he turned to sports management, founding an event organization company called "Tunçeri" in 2000 together with his brother Kerem and Haluk Acar, a friend from the Galatasaray youth academy, a company he continues to run. He also serves as president of the Basketball Players Association.
In 2017 he additionally took on the role of manager for the Istanbul Technical University basketball team, remaining active in organizational and management roles within Turkish basketball after his playing days ended.
