Semih Kılıçsoy — Biography

Semih Kılıçsoy was born on August 15, 2005, in the Gaziosmanpaşa district of Istanbul. The 1.78 m forward began playing in local clubs in Gaziosmanpaşa and Arnavutköy before joining Beşiktaş's youth academy in 2016, where he scored 42 goals in 64 matches in the U-19 Süper Lig.

After turning professional in 2023, he became Beşiktaş's youngest-ever scorer in European competition with a goal against Tirana in UEFA Conference League qualifying that same year. Between December 2023 and January 2024 he scored in four consecutive league matches, a first for such a young player in Turkish football history, and closed the 2023-24 season with ten league goals, making him the second-youngest player to reach that mark for the club; that season the team won the Turkish Cup, and he was part of the squad that lifted the Turkish Super Cup at the start of the following season. Having represented Turkey at multiple youth levels, he earned his first senior national team call-up in January 2024 and was named to Turkey's UEFA Euro 2024 squad.

In August 2025 he was loaned to Italian club Cagliari with a purchase option, and in July 2026, after the loan spell ended, he returned to Beşiktaş, where he spoke of a renewed appreciation for the club.
