Selin Demiratar — Biography
Selin Demiratar was born on 20 March 1983 in Erzincan, and moved between several cities in her childhood because of her father's work. Her early interest in performing took shape on the stage of a municipal theatre in Antalya, and while still working toward her degree from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University she made her screen debut in the 2001 series 90-60-90 before playing Eylül in Koçum Benim (2002-2004). She captured the 1999 Miss Globe Türkiye title and placed third that same year at Miss Globe World.
She went on to appear in series including Lise Defteri, Sular Durulmuyor and, alongside Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, Acı Hayat (2005-2007), while on screen she took roles in the films Abdülhamit Düşerken (2002), Şaşkın (2005) and, as Yeşim, the 2007 film O Kadın. She became widely known for the role of İdil opposite Oktay Kaynarca and Serenay Sarıkaya in the series Adanalı, which began in 2008, and later appeared in Dur Yolcu, Gazi, Şüphe and Huzur Sokağı. She married businessman Mehmet Ali Çebi in 2020, and in early 2026 retired from acting under Turkey's EYT early-retirement scheme, reappearing publicly after a long absence from view.
