Selçuk İnan — Biography

Selçuk İnan was born on 10 February 1985 in İskenderun. He began his playing career in the youth ranks of Çanakkale Dardanelspor, then moved through Manisaspor and Trabzonspor before joining Galatasaray in 2011. Over nine seasons in the yellow-and-red jersey he won four Süper Lig titles, three Turkish Cups and five Turkish Super Cups, captaining the side for much of that period. A regular for the Turkish national team with more than 60 caps, he is remembered for a decisive free-kick goal against Iceland that helped Turkey qualify for UEFA Euro 2016.

After retiring as a player in 2020, İnan spent two seasons as an assistant coach under Fatih Terim at Galatasaray before launching his own managerial career at Kasımpaşa and Gaziantep FK. As of July 2026 he is the head coach of Kocaelispor, having signed a new three-year contract with the club and overseeing an intensive pre-season training camp ahead of the coming campaign.
