Sejde Abrahamsson — Biography

Sejde Aftonia Aylin Aykal, better known by her playing name Sejde Abrahamsson, is a Swedish-born footballer of Swedish-Turkish heritage. Born on 24 January 1998 and standing 1.65 m tall, she came up through Sweden's youth setup, representing the country at both under-15 and under-23 level before switching her senior international allegiance to the Turkey women's national team.

At club level she has played as a midfielder and, at times, a defender, moving abroad to join Club YLA in the Belgian Women's Super League. Having developed through her country of birth's academy system before eventually competing internationally for Turkey, her career reflects an unusual dual-national path across two footballing cultures.
