Sedat Yüce — Biography

Born in İzmir in 1976, Sedat Yüce is a Turkish singer, trumpeter, and record producer. He began his musical career singing backing vocals for Şebnem Özsaran at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest Turkish national final, then entered the national final twice under his own name, with "Vazgeç" in 1996 and "Bırak Beni" in 1999, without winning either time.

In 2001 he recorded "Sevgiliye Son," written by composer Semih Güneri, and won the Turkish national final with it, earning the right to represent Turkey at that year's Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, where the entry placed 11th with 41 points. In 2003 he took first place at the 2nd Megahit International Mediterranean Song Contest in Fethiye with the song "Nereye Kadar," and in 2005 he competed once more in the national final with "Yeniden." He also appeared on the talent show O Ses Türkiye on Show TV in 2011 but was eliminated in the preliminary rounds.

Yüce continues to perform live, appearing in a trio alongside Evrim Özkaynak and Zafer Çebi and taking part in programs interpreting Anatolian folk repertoire at the Presidential Symphony Orchestra's Ada stage in Ankara.
