Sancak Kaplan — Biography
Sancak Kaplan was born on 25 May 1982 in the Oltu district of Erzurum and built his career as a central defender, standing 1.80 m tall. Early on he represented Altay before moving on to Adanaspor, İstanbul Başakşehir, Kasımpaşa and Malatyaspor.
His longest and most notable spell came at Kasımpaşa, where he spent several seasons as a mainstay of the Istanbul club's Süper Lig defense and, at times, wore the captain's armband. He has since retired from professional football, with his years at Kasımpaşa remaining the best-remembered chapter of his career.
