Samet Akaydın is a Turkish international footballer, born on 13 March 1994 in Trabzon, who plays as a 1.90m-tall centre-back. After coming through clubs such as Boluspor, Şanlıurfaspor and Adana Demirspor, he found stability in the Süper Lig with Çaykur Rizespor, where his defensive performances drew wider attention.
A regular for the Turkish national team, Akaydın was part of the squad at UEFA Euro 2024. He left Çaykur Rizespor in June 2026 when his contract expired, and in July 2026 he signed for his hometown club Trabzonspor on a lucrative new deal.
