Salih Malkoçoğlu — Biography
Salih Malkoçoğlu was born on 23 February 2005 in Trabzon. A product of the Trabzonspor youth system, the defensive midfielder progressed to the club's first team and also represented Turkey at U19 level and with the national U20 side.
He drew attention for his performances in the 2025-26 season and made headlines for his complimentary remarks about teammate Egemen Korkmaz. In December 2025 he was questioned as part of a nationwide football betting and match-fixing investigation; he was released shortly afterward and said he played for the love of the game rather than money.
