Sadri Usuoğlu — Biography
Sadri Usuoğlu (23 January 1908, Basra - 15 March 1987, Istanbul) was a Turkish footballer, basketball player, coach and sports administrator. His surname is also recorded as Usluoğlu; Basra was Ottoman territory at the time of his birth, and reference records list both Ottoman and Turkish citizenship for him.
Active in both football and basketball, he took part in the men's basketball tournament at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, making him one of the few Turkish sportsmen of his generation to compete at a high level in two sports.
After retiring as a player he turned to coaching and served as the ninth manager of Beşiktaş during the 1952-53 season. He remained involved in sport as an administrator and died in Istanbul in 1987.
