Rewşan Çeliker — Biography

Rewşan Çeliker, born Revşan Çeliker on 11 September 1980 in the Tatvan district of Bitlis, is a Kurdish musician, songwriter and violinist. She trained in violin and viola at Istanbul's Pera Fine Arts, and also studied psychological counseling and acting, later completing a master's degree in acting. Her music is performed mostly in the Kurmanji dialect of Kurdish.

Throughout her career Rewşan has collected and reinterpreted traditional Kurdish music, drawing attention in 2024 with her album 'Hınır' and its singles 'Nayê' and 'Bêri'. She regularly performs concerts in cities such as Diyarbakır and Batman, and describes her musical approach as one that reaches beyond boundaries.
