Ramazan Tavşancıoğlu — Biography

Ramazan Tavşancıoğlu was born on 7 June 1984 in Melbourne, Australia, and is an Australian footballer of Turkish descent. He began his career in the Melbourne Knights youth system and, in 2003, took part in a two-week trial at Ankaragücü in Turkey; although he signed a four-year contract, he left after making just one appearance and returned to Australia within a year.

Back home, Tavşancıoğlu played for South Melbourne in the Victorian Premier League and was called up to Melbourne Victory's A-League squad on a short-term deal in December 2005, making four appearances as cover for injured teammates before returning to South Melbourne, where he helped the club win the 2006 grand final. He returned to the A-League in 2010 and went on to play for clubs including Oakleigh Cannons, Southern Stars FC, Dandenong Thunder SC and Hume City FC, most recently turning out as a defender for Nunawading City FC in the National Premier Leagues Victoria 3.
