Ramazan Kahya — Biography

Ramazan Kahya (born 16 September 1984 in İzmir) is a Turkish former footballer who played as a full-back. Most sources give İzmir as his birthplace, with more detailed records naming its Bornova district; the Istanbul given in the German encyclopedia entry contradicts every other source. The sources also differ on his position: the English record calls him a full-back, the Arabic one a midfielder.

Besides Altay he turned out for Göztepe, Konyaspor, Osmanlıspor and Yeni Malatyaspor. Turkish outlets reported his transfer to Göztepe in January 2011, his arrival at Yeni Malatyaspor in December 2015 and his departure from Göztepe in May 2017. He was also capped by Turkey's Olympic team.

In September 2016 he was reported to have received a five-match suspension from the Professional Football Disciplinary Board. The Turkish encyclopedia line saying he "plays for the second-tier side Yeni Malatyaspor" is a frozen mid-2010s snapshot and is no longer current.
