Ragıp Başdağ — Biography
Ragıp Başdağ (born 9 June 1978 in Trabzon) is a Turkish former footballer and coach. A midfielder, he came through the Trabzonspor youth system and reached the first team in 1997.
He went on to play for Orduspor, Mersin İdman Yurdu, Akçaabat Sebatspor, Sakaryaspor, Kayserispor, Eskişehirspor, Denizlispor, Kayseri Erciyesspor, Ankaraspor (later Osmanlıspor), Balıkesirspor and Anadolu Selçukspor. In 2003 he received a six-month suspension for doping. With Kayserispor he won the Turkish Cup in 2007–08; he won the TFF 1. Lig title with Erciyesspor in 2012–13 and finished league runner-up with Osmanlıspor in 2014–15, earning promotion to the Süper Lig on both occasions.
Başdağ retired from playing in early 2018 and later worked as an assistant coach at clubs including Pendikspor, Manisa FK and Esenler Erokspor.
